Christmas Tree

It was a little chilly and windy this year getting our tree so just a few pics...

We helped grandpa and grandma pick out the perfect tree too!

Once home we put the tree up and the kids were a little unsure of it. Clayton had the hardest time with it. He is very aware of change and this was just too much... he screamed for 15-20 minutes cause he as scared.

We talk about the christmas tree lots during the day. The kids have all picked up that when the tree falls it goes 'boom'! Numerous times during the day they point to it and go "BOOM"! It's their new favorite word!

We decided to do a tree with just lights this year cause every tree they see with ornaments on they end up taking off!

Developemental Doctor's Appointment

Last week my mom, my grandma, the trio, and myself headed to GR for the morning. I was a little nervous for this apptoinment because when I called they said it would be 2 hours per kid. Ahh! I thought we would be there the whole day, instead we were out within 3 hours and everything went great!

The triplets had a physical and saw a Physchologist to check their developement due to being premature. All three are extremely healthy and doing great!

As far as development goes they are doing really well. They are all pretty much on track for a normal 2 year old. We are slightly behind with speech, they are at a 17-19 month level. At this time it's nothing of concern.

As we were leaving the Doctor mentioned to me that this is one of the best outcomes she has seen for 11 week premature triplets! WOW! We have so much to be thankful for! Praise God!

22 Months

Yup- our house is a jungle gym! They love to investigate. They found how to turn the TV on and off and all think they need to do it together! You know somethings up when the house is just too quite. I found them last week painting my carpet with sour cream! They are at a crazy busy age, but love it so much!

They just started watching TV... they pretty much only like 2 movies.

National Prematurity Awareness Day

Today is National Prematurity Awareness Day.

I am so blessed to be the mother to my 3 miracles!

Premature birth can happen to anyone, at any time in their life. It can happen to you, your child, your grandchild, your best friend; it does not discriminate in who it chooses or... why....

When you are the parent of a premature baby your whole world will stop. You will cry yourself to sleep at nig...ht and pray ...your baby lives another second, another minute, another hour, another day. You will ask God, if He so chooses, to take you instead of your tiny child. You will fall to your knees every time your tiny baby stops breathing. You will stop sleeping and every time your phone rings your heart will drop to the floor because you fear the worst.

If you're blessed enough to make it home with your baby, you will know way too many medical terms that no parent should ever have to know. You will know how to work oxygen machines, give infant CPR, how to stick a feeding tube down their nose into their stomach. You will learn sleeping doesn't exist because alarms go off all night from the monitor sent home with your child that tells you when he stops breathing or his heart rate drops. You will get thrown up on several times a day, but you will give thanks to God that your baby is here to throw up on you!

What a difference a year makes. The trio loved to carve pumpkins this year! If I can remember last year it seemed like we were holding, bottle feeding, and chasing after them, but this year they all wanted in on the action.

Pictures are in the wrong order, but we had a great time with Ryan's family carving pumpkins.

CaRs

Our house has turned into a racetrack! Since we removed the dining room chairs they love to scoot around and table and fly into the kitchen hitting the cabinets! They take the cars everwhere. Some mornings when I'm trying to get ready we'll have all four of us in our bathroom with up to 2 cars! They are at such a fun age right now!

Apples...

A few weeks ago we picked apples with MeMe and Poppy (Ryan's parents). The kids did great!

The whole time the trio would say "ball, ball!" Anything round or circle is a ball to them! :)

Family Fun

We have been considering biking as a family and decided to try it out this fall. Early Merry Christmas to our family...
